The UN 2030 Agenda holds 17 goals and 169 targets. We have chosen the seven where our operations make a real difference — not all seventeen. Credibility starts with knowing where you belong.
When the UN member states adopted the 2030 Agenda, we had already been refurbishing and reusing meters for over thirty years. Repairing and overhauling for reuse is written into our business idea — it is not a sustainability initiative on top of the business, it is the business.
The work is systematised: our environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001 by RISE, and our code of conduct builds on the UN Global Compact, the ILO conventions and the Rio Declaration. All governing documents are published openly under governing documents.
On these pages we describe how the daily work connects to the goals — and which targets we actually affect. Concretely, without embellishment.
”Mätarkontroll i Stockholm AB shall quality-assure measurement data from various types of flow meters, repair and overhaul these for reuse, and supply meters, accessories and spare parts to companies and municipalities in Sweden.”
From our business idea — core unchanged since 1983Choose a goal to read how we work with it — and which targets we contribute to.

Leak detection, sub-metering and calibrated discharge measurement — every cubic metre counts.

Metering that makes energy efficiency possible, from district heating to the charging point.

Collective agreement, systematic work-environment management and requirements that follow the supply chain.

Reliable measurement data for the water and energy sectors — and upgrading instead of replacing.

Flood monitoring, remote reading and fewer service vehicles in city traffic.

Refurbishment instead of scrapping — our business idea since 1983.

Correct measurement data where the discharges happen — before the water reaches the sea.

You cannot manage what you do not measure. Reliable, traceable measurement data is the prerequisite for all efficiency — in water, energy and discharges.
Our recommendation after verification is always the same: refurbish and reuse where possible. You save money and do the environment a service.
Sustainability and environmental requirements on partners and suppliers — including sub-suppliers further down the chain. Responsibility does not stop at our door.
