The oceans begin in the sewer network. What is discharged from treatment plants and stormwater systems eventually reaches lakes, archipelagos and seas — which is why discharges must be measured correctly.

How we contribute

In daily operations — not in a policy on a shelf

Calibrated discharge metering — We provide accredited calibration of the meters measuring discharges into municipal sewer systems — traceable, with documented measurement uncertainty. A treatment plant’s environmental reporting is never better than the readings it is built on.
Watch on stormwater and high flowsLevel monitoring in sewer and stormwater systems gives utilities early warning as flows rise — better foresight means fewer uncontrolled discharges to the recipient.
Less unnecessary abstraction — Every leak found and every cubic metre that does not need to be produced relieves water sources and recipients. Leak detection is environmental work, measured in cubic metres.
Water sampling with the network in operationHYDRANTIQ has a sampling tap for water samples during ongoing operation — a simple way to keep an eye on quality out in the network.

14.1Reduce marine pollution

”By 2025, prevent and significantly reduce marine pollution of all kinds, in particular from land-based activities, including marine debris and nutrient pollution.” — target 14.1, UN 2030 Agenda

Our contribution: Marine pollution largely originates from land-based sources. Our contribution is precisely there: accredited calibration of discharge metering and level monitoring that give Swedish water utilities the right data to act on — before the water reaches the sea.
