How we contribute

In daily operations — not in a policy on a shelf

Flood monitoring — The radar level sensor SPECTRA monitors sewer and stormwater levels and survives being submerged when it really matters. Early warning gives the municipality time to act — before the basements do.
Fewer service vehicles in city traffic — We always aim for remote reading. Every meter read remotely is a car journey not made — and our environmental policy commits us to pressing down transport impact together with contracted carriers.
Water losses in urban networks — Leakage in distribution networks is a silent loss in many cities. Our network flow meters and low-flow detection make the losses visible — and thereby actionable.
Charging points more people can use — When we plan charging infrastructure, accessibility is included: height-adapted chargers, wheelchair space and clear instructions. A city’s infrastructure should work for everyone who lives in it.

11.5Reduce the adverse effects of natural disasters

”By 2030, significantly reduce the number of deaths and the number of people affected and substantially decrease the direct economic losses caused by disasters, including water-related disasters, with a focus on protecting the poor and people in vulnerable situations.” — target 11.5, UN 2030 Agenda

Our contribution: Level monitoring of stormwater and sewers provides early warning during cloudbursts and high flows — a concrete tool for municipalities to mitigate flood damage.

11.6Reduce the environmental impact of cities

”By 2030, reduce the adverse per capita environmental impact of cities, including by paying special attention to air quality and municipal and other waste management.” — target 11.6, UN 2030 Agenda

Our contribution: Remote reading instead of service vehicles, leak detection instead of water losses — and transport requirements in the environmental policy. Many small reductions of the city’s footprint, every day.
