Good measurements are made by people with good working conditions. It is that simple — and that is how we have built the company.
Every Global Goal has concrete targets. These are the ones our work affects — quoted from the UN 2030 Agenda (see globalgoals.org).
”Protect labour rights and promote safe and secure working environments for all workers, including migrant workers, in particular women migrants, and those in precarious employment.” — target 8.8, UN 2030 Agenda
Our contribution: Collective agreement, systematic work-environment management, whistleblowing channel and annual safety inspections — and the same requirements placed on our suppliers through the code of conduct.
”By 2030, achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value.” — target 8.5, UN 2030 Agenda
Our contribution: Decent conditions, equal opportunities and zero tolerance for discrimination are baseline requirements here — regulated in collective agreements and our code of conduct, not just in words.
”Improve progressively, through 2030, global resource efficiency in consumption and production and endeavour to decouple economic growth from environmental degradation, in accordance with the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production.” — target 8.4, UN 2030 Agenda
Our contribution: Refurbishment and reuse decouple our growth from material consumption: a refurbished meter does the same job as a new one — without a new one having to be manufactured.
